August ‘Gus’ Kneidinger

August “Gus” Gregory Kneidinger, 69, of Prospect, passed away Tuesday evening, Sept. 23, 2025, at UPMC Passavant-McCandless, following an illness.

Born July 13, 1956, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late August Stephen and Mary Stanko Kneidinger.

Gus was a career carpenter and retired Dec. 1, 2014, from the Heavy Highway Carpenters Local Union No. 274.

He enjoyed time with his family and was the master coordinator for family outdoor activities and renting cabins for the getaways near Pymatuning State Park and other fun places.

Gus was an avid fisherman and loved fishing bass tournaments. He also enjoyed hunting, gardening, hiking, camping and loved taking and cherishing photos.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy “Dotty” Dubler Kneidinger, whom he married July 24,1982; his sons, Eric (Laura) Rydbom and Jason August Kneidinger, all of Grove City; two granddaughters, Mikenzie and Tehlor Kneidinger; and his sister, Mary Frances (Charlie Ehredt) Kneidinger, of Dysart, Pa.

KNEIDINGER — The family of August “Gus” Gregory Kneidinger, who died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, will receive family and friends from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Sept. 29, at RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 387 Main St., Prospect.
