Gordon Ramsay’s Bel Air mansion ‘swatted’ — or pranked — second time this year
The Bel Air home of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was the target of a “swatting” call for the second time this year, police said.
Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department raced to Ramsay’s mansion on Monday, after a 911 caller claimed that he used a revolver to shoot his brother — whom he described as a famous cook — and his nephew, TMZ reported. The caller also claimed to be doing heroin and refused to leave the residence.
When they arrived on the scene around 8 p.m., officers found no evidence of a shooting or that any violence had occurred.
According to TMZ, Ramsay was not home at the time. Sources said he was actually out of the country when the incident occurred, which authorities have since classified as a case of “swatting.”
Swatting is a type of cyberharassment involving a 911 call or emergency report regarding an active shooter situation or some sort of immediate danger that doesn’t actually exist. The goal is to illicit a large police response that often includes the arrival of a SWAT team.
While swatting is often described as a prank, the consequences can be deadly.
In 2021, Tennessee man Mark Herring died of a heart attack after heavily armored law enforcement officers descended on his home. They were under the impression Herring killed a woman on the property. He was targeted in the swatting attack over his refusal to sell his Twitter handle, @Tennessee, police said.

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna may already be married, tease name of baby No. 3
A$AP Rocky isn’t quite ready to let the cat out of the bag about his marriage status with Rihanna.
The rapper and actor, who has long called the billionaire pop star his “wife,” did however hint that them tying the knot was already done deal.
“How you know I’m not already a husband?” he said when asked if he was looking forward to being a married in an Elle interview published Tuesday. “I’m still not gonna confirm it.”
Earlier this year, Rocky referred to the Fenty mogul as his “wife” during an on-camera chat with Mystery Fashionist.
“I’m gonna ride till the wheels fall off like she do,” he explained in March. “That’s my dog, that’s my [N-word], that’s my b —, that’s my wife, that’s my everything.”
Rocky and Rihanna first confirmed their romance in 2020 after nearly a decade of close friendship. They share two sons — 3-year-old RZA and 2-year-old Riot Rose — and are expecting their third child any day now.
Rocky told Elle that after having two sons, he’s hoping for a girl.
“This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience,” he said. “I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”
But whatever the gender, the newborn may be named after another celebrity friend; their first child was named after Wu Tang Clan founder RZA.
In his latest interview with GQ, Rocky teased that baby number three might just be named after his “Highest 2 Lowest” co-star, Denzel Washington.
“Denzel, no matter what,” the Harlem native said. “The first female [to] come out named Denzel, it’s lit. We got it figured out.”
The two-time Oscar winner, who headlines the most recent Spike Lee film, broached the idea of how Rocky could honor him in the delivery room.
“I think Denzel’s a beautiful name for a son,” Washington said.

Man attempting to serve Taylor Swift deposition papers arrested at Travis Kelce home
A process server was arrested at Travis Kelce’s home in Kansas while attempting to serve Taylor Swift deposition papers from Justin Baldoni’s legal team, according to reports.
Justin Lee Fisher, a former police officer now working as a private investigator, was caught at Kelce’s home in Leawood earlier this month, after he jumped “the fence onto a private residence in a private neighborhood,” according to documents obtained by the star. He was reportedly taken into custody on Sept. 15 around 2 a.m. and faces a misdemeanor count of criminal trespassing in connection with the incident.
Fisher was reportedly released after posting bond. It is unclear whether he successfully served Swift the documents.
His arrest came just two days after a judge denied a request to depose the 35-year-old pop star in connection with the defamation and sexual harassment lawsuit between “It Ends With Us” co-stars, Baldoni and Swift’s former best friend, Blake Lively.
In late December, Lively accused Baldoni, who also served as director, of sexually harassing her on the set of their film and launching a smear campaign against her after the fact. Baldoni, who has repeatedly denied the allegations, followed up with a $250 million libel lawsuit against The New York Times for its deep-dive into Lively’s claims. He also filed a$400 million defamation suit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and publicist Leslie Sloane, much of which was dismissed by a judge in June.
The singer was specifically mentioned by name in the Lively suit, with Baldoni’s legal team alleging that the actress tried to use Swift’s star power to gain creative control over “It Ends With Us.” Baldoni also shared text messages from Lively in which she referred to Swift and Reynolds as her “dragons.”
Earlier this month, Baldoni’s legal team filed documents indicating Swift was prepared to give her deposition as early as October, but days later her lawyers pushed back on the claim. In a letter, they wrote she “did not agree to a deposition,” but if “forced” into one, “her schedule would accommodate the time required during the week of Oct. 20 if the parties were able to work out their disputes.”
