Richard L. Buchanan, 69, of Butler, passed away Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born June 11, 1956, in Oil City, Pa., he was the son of the late Richard and Mary Buchanan. He knew and loved the Lord.

He is survived by his children, Deb Morgan (Steven), Karen Steffanus-Verne (Scott), Scott Steffanus (Julie), Brenda Steffanus-Deninno, Kathy Keene (Wayne) and Jodi Tuner (Steve); and a number of grand- and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jon; sisters, Barb and Darlene; and a grandson, Cameron.

BUCHANAN — Friends of Richard L. Buchanan, who died Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, at H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, 201 S. Washington St., Eau Claire.

A funeral service will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Chris Clark officiating.
