Cynthia Smith
Cynthia R. “Cindy” Smith, 60, of Chicora, passed away Friday morning, Sept. 19, 2025, at UPMC Family Hospice in Lawrenceville.
Cynthia was born Nov. 14, 1964, in Butler. She was the daughter of Richard L. “Rick” Craig Jr., of Chicora, and the late Rita K. Mellish Craig.
Cindy graduated from Karns City Area High School in 1983 and attended Butler County Community College and Slippery Rock University. Most recently Cindy had been employed as a secretary at Black Bird Industries in West Sunbury.
She enjoyed crafts, reading and helping with the Girl Scouts in Chicora.
In addition to her father, she is survived by a daughter, Dakota Craig, of Chicora; her paternal grandfather, Richard L. Craig Sr., of Chicora; her fiancé, Anthony “Sam” DiMichele, of Butler; and her “stepson,” Sam’s son, Hunter Graham, of Butler; as well as a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Betty Craig; her maternal grandparents, Alvin and Ruth Mellish; and an uncle.
SMITH — A celebration of life service for Cynthia R. “Cindy” Smith, who died Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at HILE FUNERAL HOME of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora, with her uncle, Charles “Chuck” Craig, presiding.
Interment will be in Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora.
