Police reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
Sept. 11 — Robert Lewis Murray, 62, of Prospect, was charged with two felony counts of retail theft following an Aug. 2 incident. Police said Murray attempted to steal $129.84 in merchandise from Walmart and scanned cheaper items in place of more expensive items.
Sept. 11 — Kelly Lee Ann Edwards, 37, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor trespass following a July 19 incident. Police said Edwards refused to leave a business.
Sept. 11 — Christine Ann Eakin, 42, of Slippery Rock, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of controlled substance possession, drug paraphernalia possession and marijuana possession following a Sept. 4 traffic stop. Police said Eakin had 12 Adderall pills, one oxycodone pill, three plastic bags of marijuana and two unlabeled pill bottles.
Aug. 28 — Police investigated a criminal mischief incident on McJunkin Road in Venango Township where a fuel system on an Ingersoll Rand T3W 194 drill rig owned by Litzenberg Drilling was tampered with causing about $20,000 in damage. The incident occurred between 6 p.m. Aug. 7 and noon Aug. 8. Anyone with information is requested to contact Trooper Buckley at the state police barracks in Butler.
Aug. 28 — Police investigated a hit-and-run crash that caused moderate property damage to a lawn and vehicle off Ohara Road in Jefferson Township. Police said an unknown vehicle veered off the road and damaged a mailbox, ornamental stones, the lawn and a Ford Fusion parked in the driveway.
Sept. 11 — Kelly Dawn Calvin, 47, of Evans City, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a Sept. 5 traffic stop in Zelienople. Police said Calvin had a blood alcohol content of 0.155%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Sept. 11 — Korakot Panatisa, 43, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanor DUI following a Jan. 18 traffic stop in Butler Township. Police said Panatisa tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine.
Sept. 11 — Frank John Zottola, 72, of Valencia, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a July 4 traffic stop in Penn Township. Police said Zottola had a blood alcohol content of 0.122%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Sept. 11 — Christopher Karenbauer, 24, of Butler, was charged with four felony DUI counts and two misdemeanor DUI counts following a May 26 crash in Summit Township. Police said Karenbauer tested positive for MDA and MDMA and had a blood alcohol content of 0.157%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
