Carl Weichey

Weichey

Carl A. Weichey, 89, of Fenelton, passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025.

He was born Feb. 18, 1936, in Butler, the son of the late Stanley and Mildred (Lisowski) Weichey.

Carl proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from August 1954 through May 1958. He was also a devoted member of the Shriners for more than 50 years.

Carl owned and operated Weichey’s Boron and BP station on Jefferson Street in Butler from 1962 to 1999, where he became well-known and admired throughout the community.

Carl was a vibrant jovial soul, with boundless energy, always smiling and quick with a joke or a laugh. He was constantly on the move, going somewhere, doing something, never still for very long.

He was fully engaged in everything he challenged. He had a proactive, persistent attitude toward life and met its joys and difficulties head on. Enduring and bearing what was necessary, overcoming what was possible, evolving into a stronger, wiser, better, more complete human being.

He was loved and admired by all he encountered and never forgotten.

Carl is survived by his son, Carl Mark Weichey; his daughter, Bonnie Jones; his granddaughters, Megan, Melanie and Sydnie; four great-grandchildren; his stepsons, Robert and Richard Redick; and four stepgrandchildren, Travis, Hannah, Richie and Timmy.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Trish; as well as all his brothers and sisters.

WEICHEY — A memorial service will be held at a later date for Carl A. Weichey, who died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025.

Arrangements have been entrusted to YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
