Fire crews from Butler, Venango and Clarion counties worked together Sunday afternoon, Sept. 14, to battle a brush fire in Cherry Valley.

Reports of a brush fire were first received around 2:30 p.m., with crews responding shortly after. Responding fire departments included West Sunbury, North Washington, Marion Township, Eau Claire, Harrisville and Parker City.

According to West Sunbury Volunteer Fire Department, the fire was stopped before it could reach any buildings or forested areas.
