Fire - DME

Fire companies from Armstrong and Butler counties were dispatched Tuesday morning, Sept. 9, for a structure fire in downtown Kittanning.

The fire was reported around 7:12 a.m. in the 100 block of South Jefferson Street in Kittanning, according to the Armstrong County Department of Public Safety. A dispatcher estimated 15 to 20 fire stations had been dispatched.

Butler County stations have been dispatched throughout the morning, but most have remained on standby, according to Butler County Emergency Services.

Crews are still on scene.
