The second annual Saxonburg Artisan Market took place over the weekend, Sept. 6 and 7, bringing hundreds of people to the borough to seek crafts, food and comradery.

The market featured 100 food and craft vendors — nearly double the 55 that signed up for last year’s event. The show also featured artistic demonstrations of plein-air painting and blacksmithing, as well as pony rides and a petting zoo.

Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church hosted the event’s fine arts show, and featured exclusively oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings.

The Saxonburg Museum also held a basket raffle at Roebling Park with proceeds benefiting the renovation of the Brooklyn Bridge replica at the park.
