Police reports

The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:

Butler

Aug. 25 — Albert Thomas Estes III, 42, of Butler, was charged with one felony count each of firearm possession while prohibited, firearms not to be carried without a license and possession of a firearm with altered numbers following an Aug. 5 traffic stop. Police said Estes had a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

Aug. 28 — William Robert Dingel III, 30, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following an Aug. 28 incident. According to police, Dingel brandished a knife at a woman.

Butler Twp

Aug. 21 — Reinaldo Rosado Lizardi, 24, of Warren, Ohio, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession following an Aug. 2 traffic stop. Police said Lizardi had a small amount of marijuana and cigar wraps.

Cranberry Twp

Aug. 28 — Joseph Isaiah Peterson, 48, of Canton, Ohio, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of controlled substance possession and retail theft following an Aug. 27 incident. Police said Peterson attempted to steal about $870 in merchandise from Walmart and had a small plastic bag with a white substance.

Aug. 28 — Brandon Jamar Murray, 42, of Braddock, was charged with felony retail theft following an Aug. 27 incident. Police said Murray attempted to steal $254.51 in merchandise from Walmart.

State police, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement

July 1-3 — Hotel Petrolia was cited in the sale of alcoholic beverages without a valid license.

July 3 — Hotel Petrolia was cited in the sale of alcohol to a visibly intoxicated patron.

July 6 — Hotel Petrolia was cited in the sale of alcoholic beverages without a valid license.

June 30-July 17 — Paul W. Wood VFW Post 7840 was cited in a failure to return the club liquor license and wholesale purchase cards after the licensed establishment had not been in operation for 15 consecutive days.

State police, Butler

Aug. 23 — Police responded to a single-vehicle crash around 8:30 p.m. in Clay Township. Police said Darren J. O’Neill, 64, of West Mifflin, struck the sign of Three C’s Pizza when backing out of a parking spot and fled the scene. O’Neill was charged with misdemeanor accident involving damage.

Aug. 27 — James Herman Matson, 70, of Butler, was charged with two felony DUI counts following a March 9 traffic stop in Butler Township. Police said Matson showed signs of impairment and tested positive for THC.

Aug. 27 — Tina L. Quinn, 57, of Butler, was charged with three misdemeanor DUI counts following an Aug. 1 traffic stop in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Quinn showed signs of impairment.

Aug. 27 — James Hanif Rooks, 43, of Butler, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of controlled substance possession and drug paraphernalia possession following an Aug. 10 traffic stop in Butler. Police said Rooks had two bags of methamphetamine, an empty bag with residue and a glass smoking pipe.

Aug. 27 — Donna Louise Lower, 55, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor DUI following a May 5 traffic stop in Butler. Police said Lower showed signs of impairment.

Aug. 27 — Joseph Timmons Bailie V, 21, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following an Aug. 22 traffic stop in Butler. Police said Bailie had a blood alcohol content of 0.138%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.

Aug. 27 — Amanda Jo Miller, 37, of Slippery Rock, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of controlled substance possession and drug paraphernalia possession following an Aug. 6 traffic stop in Butler. Police said Miller had a glass pipe with methamphetamine and a digital scale with residue.

Sept. 2 — Lee E. Boss, 68, of Slippery Rock, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of open lewdness and simple assault following an Aug. 31 incident in Slippery Rock Township. Police said Boss sprayed a woman with lighter fluid and exposed his butt and genitalia to her.

Sept. 2 — Jedidiah D. Miller, 25, of Ellwood City, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following an Aug. 30 crash in Muddly Creek Township. Police said Miller had a blood alcohol content of 0.184%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
