SV creating wall of fame at Ryan Gloyer Middle School

Seneca Valley School District is looking to build a “wall of fame” inside Ryan Gloyer Middle School to honor alumni who had an important impact on the district and community.

The wall of fame is planned to be a digital installation displayed just inside the school’s entrance. The district said in a news release it will celebrate the “legacy of excellence, service and pride that defines Seneca Valley.” It will have various areas of recognition highlighting individual achievements and the district’s history.

it will include a “SV Veterans” category that will feature the names of former students who graduated from Zelienople, Evans City and Seneca Valley High Schools and went on to serve in the military.

“This initiative is deeply personal to our school, as RGMS is named in honor of Staff Sergeant Ryan A. Gloyer, a proud SV graduate and decorated U.S. Army Ranger who gave his life in service. By extending this recognition to all of our veteran alumni, we hope to create a lasting tribute that reflects our district’s deep appreciation for those who have worn the uniform,” the news release said.

The district is asking for veterans who attended Seneca Valley Southwest Butler, or their family members, to submit information for the wall of fame using a submission form.
