As cold and flu season rolls around, the Butler VA Healthcare System will offer flu vaccination clinics to local veterans throughout the fall, starting Monday, Sept. 15.

The first such clinic will take place at the facility on New Castle Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All flu clinics held there will be on a drive-through basis. Veterans enrolled at the Butler VA should present their identification card, while veterans not enrolled should present a form of ID plus their military discharge papers.

Vaccinations reduce the risk of severe illness, and are especially recommended for those 65 and older and those with preexisting health conditions.
