Louise Vigue
Louise E. Vigue, 89, a longtime resident of Valencia, formerly of South Side, Pittsburgh, passed away Saturday afternoon, Aug. 30, 2025, at Family Hospice in Pittsburgh.
Born in Pittsburgh, Jan. 11, 1936, she was the daughter of the late David and Eleanor Maers Black.
Louise had been a postal worker at the Bulk Mail Center in Warrendale for many years.
She was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish at St. Kilian Church and was a member of APWU — the American Postal Workers Union.
Surviving are a daughter, Jean Broge (Anne) of Ohio; two sons, Robert Vigue Jr. of Valencia and Steven Vigue (Eva) of Florida; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and her brother, David Black, of Robinson Township.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vigue Sr.; a son, Brian Vigue; and a daughter, Barbara Ruth Jordan.
VIGUE — Friends of Louise E. Vigue, who died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township, with Father Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church.
Burial will held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Calvary Cemetery, Oil City.
