Lernerville Speedway: Ricky Thornton Jr. wins first Hillbilly Hundred
Ricky Thornton Jr. pulled off an impressive wire-to-wire win Saturday night in the 57th annual Hillbilly Hundred.
It’s his first win in the long-running race at Lernerville Speedway and earned him $30,000. It’s his 13th win this season.
Jonathan Davenport, who started in the pole position, finished second after challenging Thornton for the lead following a caution on Lap 90. Thornton won by 1.397 seconds.
Max Blair climbed from 13th at the start to third.
