Debra Cosgrove
Debra Kay Cosgrove, 74, of Butler, formerly of Cowanshannock Township, passed away Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 7, 1951, to James and Jean (Coleman) Patterson in Kittanning.
Debra had been employed by Armstrong County Assistance Office as a caseworker and was later promoted to a supervisor position. She enjoyed traveling and outings with her family and friends. Debra enjoyed attending her sons' football games and would video each game. She was a past president of the Shannock Valley Football Boosters.
Debra will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.
Surviving are her husband, Robert “Bob” Cosgrove, whom she wed Aug. 28, 1971; two sons, Tyson (Cory) Cosgrove, of Columbus, Ohio, and Ryan (Paige) Cosgrove, of Ford City; brother, James (Cathy) Patterson, of Rural Valley; two sisters, Vicki (Rick) Perry, of Beyer, and Sandy (Tom) Caresani, of Yatesboro; grandchildren, Nathan (Courtney), Karen and Brooklyn Cosgrove and Kayden Painter; great-grandchildren, Remington and Adaline Cosgrove; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
COSGROVE — Funeral services for Debra Kay Cosgrove, who died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, at CARSON/BOYER FUNERAL HOME, 724 W. Main Street, Rural Valley, PA, with the Rev. Edward Walters, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Rural Valley Cemetery.
