John Stirling
John D. “Jack” Stirling, 81, of Grove City, passed away Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025.
Born Aug. 2, 1944, in Phillips, Texas, he was the son of the late Hanford H. and Virginia Mair Stirling.
John was a graduate of Mars High School. John was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, and he had served in Vietnam. He retired after 30 years with Peoples Natural Gas. John was a member of the Harmony Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge 603 in Grove City since 1979 and the American Legion, Harrisville Post 852 since 1975. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by many in the Harrisville and Grove City communities.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Voegler) Stirling, whom he married June 29, 1968; his son, David Stirling; his brother, Brian (Patricia) Stirling; his sister, Royene Strazisar; his brother-in law, Ken Wakefield; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Wakefield; and brother-in-law, Louis Strazisar.
