Bonnie Lee Feightner, 87, of Grove City, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on Monday evening, Aug. 25, 2025.

Bonnie was born in Butler on Aug. 10, 1938, to Paul E. and Hilda L. (McLaughlin) Hoagland. She married F. William “Bill” Feightner on Sept. 30, 1972; he preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 2009.

She was a graduate of Grove City High School in 1956, and New Castle School of Business.

In her early days, Bonnie was secretary at Cooper Energy Services, and later a teller at Grove City Federal Credit Union. She dedicated the rest of her years as a wife, mother and grandmother.

Bonnie was a longtime and active member at First Church of God, Grove City. She served the church as a secretary, Sunday school teacher, working with Vacation Bible School and other church functions.

Bonnie was a volunteer throughout her life, spending 20 years at Grove City Medical Center and Grove City High School Library.

She enjoyed reading, bowling, bird watching, horseback riding, travel and spending time with her family and friends. For many years, Bonnie loved spending time at the family camp on the Clarion River.

She is survived by two daughters, Michelle Feightner, of Mercer, and Jennifer L. (Chad) Plesakov, of Slippery Rock; five grandchildren, Justin (Sheila) Burk, Michael Burk, Jared Burk and Ethan and Lexi Plesakov; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Judie Peard, Pamela Schmidt and Karen (Robert) Dean; a brother, Paul E. Hoagland Jr.; and a special friend of support, Margaret “Granny” Burk, who helped take care of Bonnie during her period of declining health.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a daughter, Kimberly K. Lepore.

FEIGHTNER — Visitation for Bonnie Lee Feightner, who died Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park.

Memorial donations in Bonnie’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
