Slippery Rock University.

PSAC fall preseason rankings began rolling in this week, and Slippery Rock University athletics were regularly voted by the league’s coaches to finish at or near the top of the standings by season’s end.

The men’s and women’s soccer teams were both voted to finish top three. SRU’s women were voted second in its division by coaches and earned a first-place vote, finishing behind defending PSAC West Division champion Gannon. The Rock’s men were picked third in the division, also behind defending champ Gannon as well as Seton Hill.

The women’s cross country team earned 10 first-place votes and was picked to win the PSAC after back-to-back conference championships. The men’s cross country team was picked third behind Shippensburg and East Stroudsburg.

The Rock volleyball team was voted seventh in its preseason poll. SRU field hockey was voted to finish 10th; Kutztown, last year’s NCAA runner-up and the 2023 champion, was voted first.
