Jane L. Dancik, 87, of Butler, passed away the afternoon of Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, while residing at Newhaven Court.

She was born on May 3, 1938, in Queen Junction, Clay Township, the daughter of the late Raymond T. and Bernice E. (Boozel) Sanderson.

Jane was a longtime member of the Lyndora American Legion Post 778 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling to Florida during many winters with her husband. She liked the company of her many dogs, most recently Muffy, and enjoyed seeing hummingbirds.

Jane is survived by her son, Mitchell Dancik Jr. and his wife, Leeann, of Chicora; two grandchildren, Joshua M. Dancik (Kristen Young) and Lorissa L. Dancik; stepgranddaughter, Jamie A. Brewer; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell; and brother, Thomas Sanderson.

DANCIK — Visitation for Jane L. Dancik, who died Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Karen Slusser officiating.

Private burial will be held Friday at Butler County Memorial Park.
