A section of Whitestown Road in Butler Township is expected to close for over a week while undergoing reconstruction and widening, PennDOT announced.

According to a news release, Whitestown Road will be closed at the intersection with Route 68 from midnight on Monday, Aug. 25, until 11:45 p.m. on Sept. 6. To access Whitestown Road, the department advises taking Route 68 to Eagle Mill Road to Whitestown Road.

The work is part of a three-year project including signal replacements, turn lane installation and corridor improvements aimed at enhancing safety and reducing congestion along Route 68.
