Butler County ranked 4th in Pennsylvania for raising a family
Across the 67 counties in the state, a new study ranks Butler County fourth when it comes to places to settle down.
SmartAsset, a website that offers financial guides and tools, recently published a study on which counties were best for raising a family. To determine this, the company made a calculation based on housing equity, student academic performance, recreation and community centers per 1,000 people and child care costs.
Butler County ranked behind Union, Montour and Somerset counties with a 50.34% change in home value, 8.71 out of 10 school rating, 0.15 recreation centers per 1,000 people and an average child care cost of $156.
