The Armstrong County Community Foundation is looking to award a “record number” of grants to nonprofits at its annual awards dinner on Oct. 14.

According to a news release, the night will serve as an opportunity for guests to celebrate the work of local nonprofit organizations and learn about the foundation’s role. The event, which is open to the public, will be held at Harvest Church, 143 Reed Road, Kittanning.

“It’s a night of inspiration, connection and working together for the greater good,” the release said. “Last year, the ACCF granted over $300,000. This year's totals are even more exciting!”

The event will offer a free “Kids Zone” for children ages 3 and older. Young attendees will have an opportunity to select one of the evening’s grant recipients in the children’s category and present the award during the program.
