PIAA girls soccer season preview 2025: Meet Butler County’s Top 12 players to watch
Even for a program that is consistently strong like Seneca Valley girls soccer, a player like Karly Majeski doesn’t come along all that often.
“We can play her at the top of our formation, wide, she can even play as a holding midfielder,” SV coach Mark Perry said. “We give her the freedom to go back and forth, and the last player we had that kind of confidence in was Breana Valentovish (2020 graduate). Karly is a special player.”
Majeski, a senior who has committed to play at James Madison University, was named All-WPIAL and all-state in 2024. She scored 10 goals and had six assists, helping SV reach the WPIAL Class 4A final and the state quarterfinals. She is one of the players in Butler County primed to star on the field in 2025.
The following is a list of girls soccer players to watch this season, listed alphabetically, along with their accomplishments in 2024:
A three-year starter entering this season, she was named all-section in 2024 after earning eight shutouts.
Contributed 11 goals and 16 assists to earn All-Upper Allegheny Valley Soccer League honors.
She serves as a finisher and a playmaker, evidenced by her 24 goals and 12 assists last year when she earned league MVP honors.
Her play as a holding midfielder was integral to SV’s 15-win season. Was named All-WPIAL after scoring a goal and adding four assists.
An experienced and relentless leader of KC’s back line. Her speed and physical play allow her to shut down opposing forwards.
Garnered all-section and second team All-Big 56 Conference honors after scoring nine goals and adding 13 assists.
Her solid stats — 10 goals and six assists — belie her importance to the team. She was named all-state, All-WPIAL and All-Big 56 Section 3 Player of the Year.
She began last year as an inexperienced first-year starter and finished it as a star of the team. Allowed 13 goals in 20 games and earned eight shutouts.
A leader of North’s staunch defense, she is a smart player with great field awareness.
Was named the Butler Eagle’s Girls Soccer Player of the Year last fall after scoring 28 goals and adding 14 assists. Committed to play at Western Michigan.
Paced the Golden Tornado with 18 goals and dished out five assists. Earned all-section and first team All-Big 56 Conference accolades.
Followed up a superb freshman campaign by tallying 16 goals and was named All-WPIAL.
