Janet Minehart

Janet L. Minehart, 68, of Butler, passed away Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025, at her camp in Buttercup Campground.

She was born Nov. 3, 1956, in Canonsburg, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Robert Watson and Joanne (English) Watson.

She enjoyed camping, fishing, bingo, garage sales and spoiling her dog, Chloe. Before becoming a homemaker, she worked many years as an LPN at a nursing home.

Surviving are her husband, Mark H. Minehart, of Butler; a daughter, Amy (Matt) Grala, of Beaver; stepsons, Mark Minehart, of Sharpsville, Aaron Minehart, of Portland, Ore., Zach Minehart, of Sharpsville; three grandchildren, Aaliyah, Rylan, and Lillyan; sisters, Kathy (Ed) DeThomas, of Washington, Pa., Debbie (Sam) Mayberry, of Washington, Pa., Diane Tota, of Canada; brothers, Butch (Val) Watson, of South Park, and Danny (Darla) Watson, of Washington; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a nephew, Jonathon; and a stepdaughter.

MINEHART — Friends of Janet L. Minehart, 68, who died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025, will be received from 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. Monday Aug. 18, at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with the Rev. Bob Messenger officiating.

Interment will be private.
