North Catholic’s Riley Kontul and Shady Side Academy’s Aria Nahata shared medalist honors by shooting 44 at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course on Thursday as the Trojanettes earned a girls golf victory by a score of 187-194.

North Allegheny 172, Butler 196 — At Hiland Golf Course, Macie McLister’s 43 led the Golden Tornado (1-3) while Rylee Gage carded a 44.

For the Tigers, Omisa Shah and Kayli Dings both managed a 40.

Butler will be back in action Monday against Mars at Suncrest Golf Course.

In a District 10, Region 2 Mega Match at Deer Creek Golf Course, Slippery Rock’s Drake Kreutz tied for seventh place in the individual standings with a 75. Teammate Sam Smochek added an 80 for the Rockets, who placed fourth out of seven teams with 318 strokes.

Hickory’s Aiden Rueberger and Grove City’s Isaac Allan both shot 68 for medalist honors. Hickory finished first as a team with 293 strokes.

The event included 35 golfers.
