Deborah W. “Debbie” Hillwig, 72, of Butler, passed away Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at her home.

She was born Feb. 15, 1953, in Butler, to the late George C. Weidenhof and Victoria J. Weidenhof.

Debbie was a graduate of Butler High School and went on to attend nursing school. She worked as a nurse for North Hills Passavant Hospital and later with the VNA of Western Pennsylvania until her retirement. Debbie was a member of Grace Way Community Church, where she was active in the Christian Women's Club.

She enjoyed walking, reading and tending to her flowers. Above all else, Debbie loved to travel, especially to the ocean where she could collect sea shells.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis “Greg” Hillwig, of Butler, whom she married Aug. 10, 1981; her daughter, Janice L. Radwanski, of Monroeville; three grandsons, DaMon Radwanski, Akir Joseph and Jamir Joseph; her sister, Brenda Angerett; and her nephew, Brian Angerett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister.

HILLWIG — All services for Deborah W. “Debbie” Hillwig, who died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, will be held privately per family wishes.
