High school golf roundup: Rapp shines with 35 for Falcon Knights

A-C Valley/Union’s Joe Rapp carded a 35 to place first individually at the first KSAC Mega Match of the season, held Monday at Slippery Rock Golf Club.

Rapp’s effort helped the Falcon Knights place third in the team standings with 226 strokes, 10 behind first-place Keystone.

Joey O'Donnell shot a runner-up 39 to pace Karns City while Moniteau’s Brennan Kelly tied for fourth with a 40.

Freeport 195, Riverview 213 — A trio of sub-40 scores lifted the Yellowjackets to this win at Buffalo Golf Course.

The effort was paced by Ethan Crooks, who carded an even-par 36. Max Zigo shot 38 and Gavin Tola 39.

Riverview’s Ian Stempfer came in with a 39.

North Allegheny 182, Mars 184 — The Planets fell at Pheasant Ridge Golf Club despite featuring four golfers shoot in the 30s.

Lukas Singh had a 34, Jackson Geiger a 35, Jack Weaver 36 and Jaxon Hittle 39.

For the Tigers, Ravi Desai carded a five-under 31.

Seneca Valley 192, Moon 203 — At Cranberry Highlands, Vinci Villella had a 35 to lead the Raiders. Josh Marquardt added a 36 and Anthony Cardosi a 39.

Girls Golf

Macie McLister’s 38 led Butler to a 180-199 victory over Armstrong at Hiland Golf Course on Monday.

It was the first win of the season for Butler (1-1).

Rylee Gage added a 44 and Katie Dick a 48 for the Golden Tornado, who will face Pine-Richland Tuesday at Conley’s Golf Course.
