Robert ‘Bob’ Hill Jr.

Hill

Robert “Bob” John Hill Jr., 58, of Harmony, was called home peacefully Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, at UPMC Passavant Hosital, while under the care of the Hillman Cancer Center. He was embraced by his wife, children and grandchildren.

Born Nov. 24, 1966, in Pittsburgh, Bob was the son of Mary Elaine (Smith) Hill and the late Robert John Hill Sr., of Manor. He was the loving brother to his two sisters, Kelly (Rob) Caruso and Amy Hill-Persia, both of Trafford.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Bob served with honor as a Tomahawk Weapons System technician during the Gulf War.

A winter ski trip to Seven Springs during his service is where he would meet the love of his life and devoted wife of 34 years, Andrea “Andi” (Marttala) Hill.

His most treasured role outside the home was serving on the Seneca Valley School Board for 16 years. In 2012, Bob was diagnosed with advanced kidney cancer — a challenge he met with a steadfast refusal to let it define him. His world revolved around his children, frequently reminding anyone that his proudest accomplishment was witnessing their high school, college and medical school graduations, weddings, and, now, the arrival of five beloved grandchildren.

In addition to those aforementioned, Bob is survived by his two children, Dr. Kylan (Rachel) Hill of Cincinnati and Dr. Alissa (Daniel) Hayden of Harmony; his five cherished grandchildren, Kylan Robert Hill II, Harper Patrice Hill, Henry Joseph Hill, Lila Andrea Hill and Hadley Irene Hayden; and his loving nieces and nephews, Natalie (Tom) Rhine, Robbie Caruso and Angela Persia; and his godson, Frankie Persia.
