Police reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
Aug. 2 — Kevin Eric Vlassich, 50, of Lyndora, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following an Aug. 2 incident. Police said Vlassich struck a man with a bat on the forearm.
May 22 — Evans City Beer Distributor permitted smoking in a public space where smoking is prohibited.
June 11 — Evans City Beer Distributor permitted smoking in a public space where smoking is prohibited.
June 11 — Evans City Beer Distributor failed to post signage as required by the Clean Indoor Air Act.
July 1-9 — Harrisville American Legion sold alcoholic beverages with an invalid license.
Aug. 1 — Richard B. Kamerer, 47, of Butler, was charged with three misdemeanor DUI counts and one misdemeanor count each of controlled substance possession and drug paraphernalia possession following a July 29 traffic stop in Parker Township. Police said Kamerer tested positive for methamphetamine, fentanyl and xylazine and had eight empty stamp bags, a stamp bag of suspected narcotics, two glass smoking devices with residue, three metal packing devices with residue, two pieces of foil with burnt residue, three plastic straws with residue, a small rubber band, a small glass jar with residue, a black magnetic box and two rubber smoking device holders.
Aug. 1 — Nathan S. Steyer, 23, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a July 16 crash in Summit Township. Police said Steyer had a BAC of 0.287%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
