Richard “Dick” Hadley

Cranberry Township announced Friday, Aug. 1, the new council chambers is named after Richard Hadley, a past Cranberry Township supervisor, in honor of his contributions to the township.

Hadley, a longtime resident who chaired the board multiple times, died in August 2022.

According to the township’s website, “Hadley was a fierce advocate for the community and instrumental in introducing initiatives and legislation that allowed the township to grow as a well-planned community.”

The dedication ceremony took place outside council chambers before the Thursday, July 31, township supervisors’ meeting.
