Sarver-based youth cheerleading teams claim 1st, 4th at AAU Junior Olympics competition
First Class Athletics youth cheerleaders made some history last week.
The Sarver-based program participated in the first AAU Junior Olympics cheerleading competition July 29 in Houston. The Yinzers, competing in Youth prep Level 1.1 won overall grand champion for its division and took home gold. The Stillers in Junior Level 3 brought home fourth.
Both teams are coached by Tori McGuire and Kendell Atkinson.
Competing for the Yinzers were Aurora Acquavita, Hailey Allen, Alexis Allen, Kailyn Batten, Vivienne Buser, Kendall Geraci, Kenna Groce, Daisy Hawkins, Preston McCutcheon, Emily Morrissey, Lucy Pittman, Adaline Sepich, Juniper Smith, Adelyn Vavra and Sophia Vasquez.
Competing for the Stillers were Julian Andrews, Hadley Barrett, Chloe Catroppo, Natalie Czegan, Jordyn Douglass, Madison Heckman, Zoe Little, Grace Pittman, Alaina Smith, Nova Smith, Lonna Meiers, Lilly Thomas, Gabriella Torrez, Madison Wadding and Gwendolyn Wadding.
