Butler man accused of driving into creek morning of July 4

A Butler man drove into a creek and through two yards during the early morning of July 4 on Whitestown Road in Butler Township, according to police.

Butler Township police on Aug. 1 charged Hunner A. Flint, 24, of Butler, with driving under the influence of alcohol and two traffic offenses following the alleged incident, which occurred around 2:50 a.m. July 4.

Police said Flint consumed a “significant amount” of alcohol then entered his vehicle and struck several objects in a yard located in the 100 block of Whitestown Road before entering another yard. Police said Flint drove into a creek after the traveling through the second yard.

No injuries were reported in the crash. Malinski Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.

Flint’s preliminary hearing has yet to be scheduled.
