Police Reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
July 29 — Shari Elizabeth Johnston, 64, of Cranberry Township, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of alcohol following a July 29 traffic stop. Police said Johnston had a blood alcohol content of 0.152%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
July 29 — Matthew Jakob Garth, 26, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession following a July 18 traffic stop. Police said Garth had a small amount of marijuana and a partially burned marijuana cigarette.
July 29 — Shane Paul Hill, 38, of Freeport, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following a July 28 incident. Police said Hill shoved a woman to the ground and bit a man.
July 31 — Ryan Lee Hewett, 42, of Evans City, was charged with misdemeanor theft following a May 18 incident. Police said Hewett stole a tumbler worth $40 from BiLo Gas N’ Go.
July 30 — Charles Harold Beck, 54, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor bad checks following a May 29 incident. Police said Beck attempted to pass a bad check for $1,200.
July 4 — Police responded to a two vehicle crash at 11:14 a.m. on Chicora Road in Oakland Township. Police said Shirley A. Weingartner, 84, of Chicora, was driving a Honda Civic and rear-ended the Hyundai Santa Fe of Travis W. Craig, 43, of Butler, who had slowed to turn into University Korner gas station. Police said Weingertner was transported by Chicora Community Ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital with injuries of unknown severity and received a traffic citation. Her vehicle was disabled after the crash and towed.
July 27 — Paul Dext Dillingham Jr., 37, of Renfrew, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following a July 27 incident in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Dillingham shoved a woman, pulled away from police and laid down with his hands under him when police attempted to handcuff him.
July 31 — William R. Jennum, 40, was charged with felony trespassing and misdemeanor trespassing following a July 30 incident in Jefferson Township. Police said Jennum was squatting in a building.
July 31 — Katlyn Alexis Brennan, 26, of Morris, Ala., was charged with felony trespassing and misdemeanor trespassing following a July 30 incident in Jefferson Township. Police said Brennan was squatting in a building.
