Work continued on the Karns Crossing Bridge project Wednesday, July 30, reducing traffic on Route 68/East Jefferson Street to one lane.

The restriction began Monday, July 28, and will last until Aug. 15. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.

The $64.8 million project will replace two structures, the bridge itself and an adjacent arch culvert. The project also includes improvements to traffic safety and capacity at the Route 68/Delwood Road intersection and the Route 68/Route 422 eastbound on-ramp intersection.

The project is expected to be completed in 2028.
