Butler man reportedly enters 4 campers parked outside township business
A Butler man reportedly entered four campers parked outside a Butler Township auto sales business and caused more than $1,200 in damages, police said.
Randy Richard Hoesch, 37, was charged Thursday, July 24, with one misdemeanor count each of criminal mischief and trespassing following incidents between June 28 and July 1.
Police were initially dispatched to a business on Pittsburgh Road for reports of a man, later identified as Hoesch, trespassing in a camper. Police said employees had followed Hoesch as he fled into the woods across the street from the business before they arrived.
Police said Hoesch admitted to being in a camper July 1 then leaving the property after being confronted by an employee. Police located Hoesch across the street from the business after employees had reportedly followed him.
A manager at the business told police Hoesch had been in four campers and used the toilet in one of the new ones. The sanitation system needed to be cleaned as a result and the interior of the camper also to be needed cleaned and deodorized.
The manager gave police a list of items from three campers that needed to be replaced totaling $1,296.
Hoesch’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. Sept. 4 before District Judge Kevin O’Donnell.
