Edmund Macerelli
Edmund J. Macerelli, 70, of Butler Township, formerly of West Deer Township, died Monday, July 21, 2025, at Transitions Healthcare Autumn Grove, Harrisville.
Ed was born Feb. 11, 1955, in Natrona Heights, to the late Joseph and Anna Marie (Raffaelli) Macerelli.
He was a 1974 graduate of Deer Lakes High School. While Ed was in high school, he excelled in playing defense for the newly formed high school soccer team. He worked over 35 years for the U.S. Postal Service. Ed served his country in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of sergeant.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 117, Butler, where he played in the TAP Pool League. Ed enjoyed playing pool, riding his motorcycle, operating remote control airplanes and traveling.
Survivors include his children, Anthony E. Macerelli, Tia I. Macerelli and Geno E. Macerelli, all of West Deer; his brother, David (Patricia) Macerelli of Norfolk, Va.; and his companion of eight years, Brenda Claypoole, with whom he lived.
MACERELLI — Family of Edmund J. Macerelli, who died Monday, July 21, 2025, will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 25, at SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where a funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. with Dean Noechel, chaplain of the American Legion.
He will be privately laid to rest in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Siwicki-Yanicko Funeral Home, P.O. Box 21, Russellton, PA 15076, to help defray the funeral expenses.
