Martha Frishkorn
Martha Jane Frishkorn, 91, of Zelienople, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 22, 2025, while under the care of Concordia at Cabot.
Born Jan. 2, 1934, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Terence Duffin and Bridee O’Brien Duffin.
Martha was raised in Wexford and attended St. Alphonsus Elementary School, later graduating from Holy Ghost Catholic High School in 1952. She was a devoted member of Divine Grace Parish, St. Gregory Catholic Church in Zelienople. Martha ran her own photography business, the Martha Duffin Studio, from her home in Zelienople. A passionate photographer, she rarely missed an opportunity to capture life’s special moments, preserving countless cherished memories.
Known for her warm heart and friendly nature, Martha never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. She will be fondly remembered for her kindness and generosity. Most of all, Martha deeply loved her family and treasured every moment spent with them. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, and her presence will be profoundly missed.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her five children, Terry (Rick) Wehr of Zelienople, Julia Fodor of New Jersey, George (Debbie) Frishkorn Jr. of Evans City, Maura Hensler of Zelienople and Samuel (Lisa) Frishkorn of Butler; her 10 grandchildren, Liam Fodor, Bridget (Nick) Petiya, Greg McCauley, Kaylyn, Shannon and Jared Frishkorn, Jacqueline and Jacob Hensler, and Shane and Morgan Frishkorn; her three great-grandchildren, Nick Jr., Mia and Arya; and her sister, Mary Ann (Paul) Sawyer of Clermont, Fla.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George John Frishkorn Sr., whom she married Oct. 25, 1958, and who passed away Oct. 15, 2009; and her sister, Julia Denney.
FRISHKORN — Friends of Martha Jane Frishkorn, who died Tuesday, July 22, 2025, will be received for visitation from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 27, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 28, at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Evans City Cemetery.
