Weigle

Dale Sheldon Weigle, 88, of Valencia, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025, while under the care of Sunnyview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born March 10, 1937, in Harrisville, he was the son of the late Loyal S. and Mae (Dawson) Weigle.

Dale graduated from Butler High School and went on to serve his country honorably in the Army Reserve. Upon his discharge, he went on to work for LTV Steel until his retirement.

He was an active member of North Main Street Church of God, participating in numerous church activities, including bowling. Dale enjoyed going to Whitehall Camp in Emlenton, carpentry, hunting, golfing and farming with his son, Dean. Above all else, Dale loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Louella M. (Critchlow) Weigle, whom he married on March 20, 1964; three sons, David (Laura) Weigle, Danny (Peg) Weigle and Dean (Sharon) Weigle; daughter, Debbie (Dan) Deal; and 11 grandchildren, Cody, Walker, Bailey, Sean, Amber, Austin, Kevin, Sara, Daniel, Sheldon and Jacob.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra; his sisters, Eleanor Weigle, June Allen, Orpha McCall, Coral Hook, Isla Bailey and Rhoda Westlake; and his brothers, Lawrence and Alvin Weigle.

WEIGLE — Family and friends of Dale Sheldon Weigle, who died Wednesday, July 23, 2025, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler. A funeral service will immediately follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor Brandon Lenhart, of North Main Street Church of God, officiating.

He will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
