Butler woman accused of assaulting trooper in Summit Township

A Butler woman is accused of kicking a female officer in the crotch while being arrested in Summit Township, state police said.

Tasha N. Darrah, 47, was charged Monday, July 21, with felony aggravated assault and one misdemeanor count each of simple assault and resisting arrest following the July 19 incident.

Police said they arrived on scene to find Darrah at a residence after she was previously given warnings not to return.

Police said Darrah resisted being put into the back of a police vehicle and kicked a female trooper in the crotch while partially sitting in the back seat. The trooper was not injured.

Darrah’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. July 29 before District Judge Lewis Stoughton.
