Slippery Rock Woman charged with burglary, resisting arrest
A woman is accused of burglarizing a Slippery Rock home and resisting arrest, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday, July 21.
Kimberly Stabryla, 45, of Slippery Rock, was charged with a felony count of burglary, and one misdemeanor count each of trespassing and resisting arrest.
The charges follow an alleged incident at a residence in Slippery Rock on Sunday, July 20.
Police responded to a “disturbance” at a West Water Street property around 4:35 p.m., the court document said. A woman told police Stabryla entered her home through an unlocked window before stealing a poster, furniture and other items and placing them near the next-door neighbor’s porch.
The responding officer said Stabryla resisted arrest by pulling away from him, tensing up and refusing to put her hands behind her back.
This was the fourth time police were dispatched to the address since July 5, according to the complaint. The night before the incident, a responding officer saw Stabryla on the property and told her not to come back.
She is being in Butler County Prison awaiting a July 30 preliminary hearing before District Judge Joseph Nash.
