Karen Beikert

Beikert

Karen Ann Beikert, 70, of Midland, Mich., died Monday morning, July 14, 2025, at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor.

She was born Aug. 16, 1954, in Butler, daughter of the late Robert Leroy and Marie Josephine (Petshot) Beikert.

Karen grew up in Butler, and attended and graduated from Grove City College with a degree in chemical engineering. She was recruited by the Dow Corning corporation to work as a process engineer. Karen’s work with Dow enabled her to develop and start up process programs in other countries. She was highly respected for her intellect and her work ethic. As she worked, she was given the opportunity to go to law school at the University of Michigan and join Dow’s legal department.

She was also active in the local chapter of the American Association of University Women and a lifelong supporter of the Salvation Army.
