I'm writing the Butler Eagle to beg a Republican to run against U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, the upstanding local businessman who got bored with cars and ran for Congress.

If you look at his voting record, you might be disappointed. You might conclude he isn't voting your interests.

I wonder how many people actually keep track of how their representatives vote and whether they vote to improve their lives?

Do yourself a favor. Check Mike's voting record. Start with the Big Ugly Bill and go back 10 years. You should be outraged.

I'm a Democrat, and I'd even be happy with a Republican who votes in the interests of all my fellow Butler County citizens and in democracy's.
