Inmate charged with bringing drugs into Butler County Prison
An Evans City man was charged with bringing controlled substances into Butler County Prison.
Andrew C. Cypher, 36, was charged Tuesday, July 15, with felony possession of contraband in a prison and misdemeanor controlled substance possession following the July 6 incident.
Police said correctional officers in Butler County Prison found white pills inside a small plastic bag being carried by Cypher in the prison. Police said Cypher admitted to attempting to bring them into the prison.
Cypher’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. Aug. 4 before District Judge William Fullerton.
