Butler woman reportedly sells fentanyl to confidential informant

A Butler woman reportedly sold two bricks of fentanyl to a confidential informant, according to Butler County detectives.

Amanda Locke, 27, was charged July 8 with felony possession with intent to deliver controlled substances following a staged purchase by a confidential informant May 8.

Police said Locke had reached out to the informant within a week of the incident to sell multiple bricks of fentanyl at $180 per brick, which contains about 50 stamp bags.

Police later recorded a phone call between Locke and the confidential informant where Locke reportedly agreed to sell two bricks of fentanyl to the confidential informant for $360.

The two met at Rotary Park for the exchange at a bench near the dumpster on Shore Street while police watched. Police said they later reviewed the contents of the buy and confirmed 97 stamp bags of fentanyl were purchased.

Locke’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. July 21 before District Judge William Fullerton. She’s being held in Butler County Prison on a $50,000 bond.
