Irene Tsagaris

Tsagaris

Irene K. Tsagaris, 63, of Chesapeake, Va., formerly of Saxonburg, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Chesapeake Regional Health Care.

Born May 4, 1962, in Butler, she was the daughter of Michael J. Tsagaris and Martha L. Pappas Tsagaris.

She was a member of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in New Kensington.

Irene enjoyed spending time outside with friends, coloring, going for walks, reading and cats. In her younger years, she enjoyed cheerleading and socializing with her many friends while at Knoch High School and Edinboro University. Irene was a friend to many and made you want to be her friend. A true testament was the merging of elementary schools and she gained many more friends.

Known for her beauty, her sweetness, her loyalty and her smile, Irene lit up the room — whether it was in homeroom or the gymnasium. Her sweetness shown brighter than her beauty.

Surviving is her brother, Peter (Juliet) Tsagaris of Virginia Beach, Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Michael Tsagaris.
