Gary Checkan, 65, of Evans City, passed away at home Wednesday, July 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born Nov. 6, 1959, in Mars, he was the son of the late George and Dorothy Meals Checkan.

Gary was a beloved husband, father and brother. He was a proud employee of McClymonds Trucking. Gary will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

CHECKAN — A celebration of life will be held in honor of Gary Checkan, who died Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at a later date.
