One person was injured when their vehicle crashed into a sedan and speed limit sign before traveling up an embankment and rolling over in a Thursday, July 3, crash on Route 422 in Butler Township.

Police said the crash occurred just before 3 p.m. on Route 422 near the Benbrook Road overpass. Police said Denise Wisniewski, 57, of Butler, was stopped in traffic in a Kia Telluride when Shawn Courson, 44, of New Castle, failed to stop a Toyota Corolla while driving at unsafe speeds and hit the Kia.

The collision sent Courson into the speed limit sign, resulting in a rollover. Police said he sustained minor head injuries but refused medical treatment. Wisniewski and her passenger were uninjured. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
