Catherine A. Gall, 90, of Butler, formerly of Prospect, died Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital after an illness.

Cathy was born in Pittsburgh on Feb. 14, 1935, and was the daughter of William and Myrtle Daw Lightbody.

Cathy was the longtime manager of Michael’s Restaurant in Prospect. She also worked at the former Roxy’s Diner in Prospect and Eric’s in Slippery Rock. She loved her family, cooking, baking, crocheting and was an avid bingo player. Cathy was very easygoing and always willing to help everyone.

Survivors include one son, Wesley Ronald Gall of Virginia; two daughters, Sandra (Richard) Purvis of Butler and Cheryl (Thomas) Ochoa of Utah; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her husband, Wesley Gall, whom she married Sept. 1, 1950, and who died April 11, 2011; three brothers; six sisters; and one grandson.

GALL — Public visitation for Catherine A. Gall, who died Wednesday, July 2, 2025, will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, at her church, Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, in Butler. Funeral services will follow immediately with Pastor Richard Jinks officiating.

Private burial will take place at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Prospect.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faith Way, Butler, PA 16001.
