Mittica

Jean F. Mittica, 91, of Wexford, formerly of Butler, passed away Monday, June 30, 2025, at Concordia of Wexford.

Born July 31, 1933, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Frank Ziegler and Helen Mountain Ziegler.

Jean worked as a secretary for R & S Sales.

She volunteered for more than 10 years at the Butler County Senior Center. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and bowling. While in residence at Concordia of Wexford, she stayed active by playing bingo and distributing church bulletins.

She is survived by two daughters, Gail Cranmer and her husband, Ken, of Cabot, and Terri Mittica, of Tyler, Texas; five grandchildren, Hannah Mittica-Valle and her husband, Jose, of Tyler, Texas, Claire Mittica, of Dallas, Texas, Kevin Cranmer, of Saxonburg, Dusty Cranmer and his wife, Michelle, of Leesport, Pa., and Casey Cranmer and his wife, Melea, of Saxonburg; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence C. “Bud” Mittica, whom she married May 2, 1953, and who passed away March 3, 1999; one brother, Gary Ziegler; and one sister, Linda Ziegler.

MITTICA — There was no visitation, and services and burial were private for Jean F. Mittica, who died Monday, June 30, 2025.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, DOWNTOWN, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
