The Butler Area Public Library will hosting a free Watersheds & Rain Barrels workshop at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 17. The program also will provide attendees with a free 55-gallon rain barrel.

The workshop will educate people on how they impact watershed health, and will explore ways to promote healthy waterways including setting up and maintaining a rain barrel. Registration is required and can be completed online at prc.org/RainJuly.

The program is supported by the American Water Charitable Foundation and Pennsylvania Resources Council.
